For Sanatur Evening Primrose Oil, the seeds of the evening primrose (Oenothera biennis) are cold-pressed and encapsulated in cellulose capsules.
All processing steps take place in an oxygen-free environment. The seeds of this biennial plant are harvested in late summer at the end of the flowering period. A small, fuzzy pod contains up to 300 small, round seeds that are plump with oil.
